Venetian plaster has a quiet way of changing a space.

Made from lime and applied by hand, it builds up slowly in thin layers until the surface feels whole. It doesn’t sit on the wall so much as become part of it.

Each layer is worked, pressed, and polished by hand, creating soft movement and subtle variation that shifts with the light through the day. Up close, you see texture and depth. From a distance, it reads as calm and continuous.

It’s a material that doesn’t really stay static. Over time, it settles into the space and picks up character from its surroundings.

Venetian Works approaches plaster in a very simple way — carefully, and without rushing it. Every surface is built up gradually so the material can do what it does naturally.

We start by understanding the space: the light, the architecture, and how the room is going to be used. From there, colour and texture are developed to suit it.

Whether it’s a polished Venetian plaster, a more mineral Marmorino finish, or a softer limewash, each one is adjusted to feel right in the space it’s going into.
